Objectives
Protecting people from 'Middleman Fraudsters'
In the hope that they can bag some cash, some individuals provide false information claiming that they have contacts or they themselves are able to accomplish the tasks proposed by the client.
These individuals tend to target clients who are vulnerable in the sense that they are uneducated, lack communication skills, gullible (easily tricked to believe something), have a dependent personality type and cannot speak up or defend themselves.
The act of intentionally exploiting an individuals character and/or their situation for personal/financial gain is classed as fraudulent behaviour.
My aim is to prevent clients from falling into the trap of 'middleman fraudsters' by making direct contact with the appropriate medium for support.
Should the medium request a fee, I send the invoice to the client as evidence and instruct the client to make the payment directly to the medium rather than through myself. This eliminates the unnecessary extra payment that clients make to the 'middleman fraudsters'. Once the medium confirm that they have received the payment, again, I send the receipt to the client as evidence.
The backstory behind my motive is that on a first hand basis, I've witnessed people within my own circle getting scammed. This instinctively fuelled my intention to help the vulnerable.
Genuine Sense of Satisfaction
Whenever someone approaches me asking for help that I'm capable of, I naturally feel impelled to say 'yes', take the task in hand and follow through right until the very end in a neat, thorough and efficient manner. This is because I consider myself a 'man of his word' - someone who does what they say they will do without backing down. My life motto is to 'Strive for success'. Therefore, I am adamant that the outcome for each task I undertake should be successful. Once the task is complete, I genuinely feel satisfied to see the smile and happiness on the individual and/or their family's face.
Karma - Doing Good getting good
The services I provide are also for my own selfish reasons (don't take this in the wrong way). I am a firm believer of Karma which states 'Do good things and good things will come your way' . Therefore, serving the community is beneficial to me because good things will happen to me as a result of it. The backstory behind my motive is that my childhood was imbedded by the ideology, proposed by family members, that if you are not a practicing member of your assigned religion, good things will not happen to you and your life will be a misery. Examples of 'Practicing' can be: Going to church every sunday, reading the bible, reciting the rosary, doing confession etc. I was always against this ideology and kept responding that focusing on helping others makes you more of a good person than being a practicing member of your religion.
During that phase of my life, I couldn't prove myself because I was only a student (didn't enter the world of work) and had limited knowledge capacity to showcase my talent. However, now that I am equipped with a sufficient knowledge pool, I am competent to help others and therefore put my 'preaching' as per say, into practice.
Sharing Knowledge
Some people are reluctant to pass their knowledge onto others because they are afraid that others will use that knowledge to progress in life, or in fact become better than them. My verdict is that you shouldn't depend on others to acquire knowledge, with today's technological advancement, there are plenty of institutions and resources available online to do your own self-research and gain knowledge. However, I understand that certain individuals may have limited access to knowledge as they may be enclosed in a small circle. For these individuals, I am passionate to share all the knowledge that I possess so that they have a better quality of life. The motive behind this goal of mine also interconnects with the ideology of Karma. If I share my knowledge with others, someone out there will naturally feel inclined to share their expertise with me.
Following your gut instinct
My life motto is to always follow your gut instinct rather than the rules or opinion of the crowd. This includes your close ones. The final decision for any matter you undertake in life, should always come from you NOT from anybody else. As long as you know exactly what your path is and are travelling in the correct direction, no one has the rights to question you or interfere. Even if you didn't have a clue on what track you're going on, no one has the right to take ownership of your life. If someone does go over their limits and takes control, please note that it is 100% your fault for giving them that space. The backstory behind this verdict of mine is that coming from an Asian community, there is a tendency for people around you to be ever so quick on judging or controlling the decisions you make as well as implementing or even enforcing their ideology on yours. Freedom of thought which is article 9 of the human rights act is thrown out the window.
Questioning things that aren't right / speaking up
In order for change to be brought about in society, mouths need to be opened and issues need to be reported. You shouldn't wait for others to take action, blame them for not doing it and think it's okay to use the 'they didn't do it, so why should I?' excuse. Remember, if you don't nip problems in the Bud, it will grow into something that will require an Ax. The backstory behind this motive of mine is that I've dealt with numerous personal as well as client experiences for delayed Medical Care, Visa Rejection, delayed issuance of Passport, delayed issuance of pension refund etc. I found that escalating issues to senior management or resorting to the complaints department accelerated solutions to problems at a faster rate.
Breaking free from crowd mentality and embracing direct communication
In this age of information overload, it's crucial that people don't just blindly follow the masses. Instead, they should take the time to consult the appropriate channels directly, ensuring that they obtain accurate and reliable information.
I firmly believe in the power of direct communication. By reaching out to the right sources ourselves, we can ensure successful and efficient results. Whether it's seeking guidance, verifying facts, or gaining insights, direct communication allows us to cut through the noise and get the information we need firsthand.
To maintain transparency and accountability, I strongly recommend utilising email for direct communication. This way, there's a record of our conversations, which can be helpful for future reference or audit purposes. Unlike phone conversations, where there's room for misinterpretation or dishonesty, email provides a clear and documented trail of our interactions.
Inspiring today's youth to embrace their true selves
With all the peer pressure and the influence of social media, it's easy to feel like we have to conform to what everyone else is doing. But here's the thing: those things are temporary and can distract us from achieving our true goals. It's like a slow poison that we might not realise until it's too late and we look back with regret.
Through my experiences and stories, I want to inspire young people to stay true to themselves, follow their passions, and not get caught up in what society considers the 'norm.' I believe that by embracing our individuality and focusing on our dreams, we can build a fulfilling and successful future.
We should break free from the pressures and make choices that align with our long-term goals. In this way, a generation of youngsters who are confident, motivated, and unafraid to chase their dream can be created.
Disclaimer : I strive to help as many people as I can, but I reserve the right to decline assistance to individuals who take advantage, display a negative attitude, or are not amicable. My aim is to create a positive and supportive environment for those who genuinely seek help and are open to a constructive approach.
